It doesn’t.

It comes from consistency.

When people recognize your voice, your visual style, and your point of view, your content becomes identifiable before they even see your name.

That’s when a personal brand starts working for you.

I had the opportunity to support some of my favorite organizations this weekend while also spending time with some of my favorite people.

Thursday started with the @habitatstw Community Partners Breakfast. If you talk to me for more than five minutes, you have probably heard how much I love Habitat. Supporting affordable housing in our community is something I care deeply about, and it is always powerful to see how the work and the funds we raise truly impact families.

Friday I joined the ladies of New Orleans for the Dress for Success Spring Luncheon. This organization does incredible work helping women step into the workforce with confidence by providing professional clothing, support, and development tools that create real economic opportunity.

Saturday evening was spent with the Professional Women of St. Tammany Women’s Choice Awards. All proceeds support their scholarship fund, and I was especially excited to see four of my own clients nominated for Women of the Year.

A weekend full of women doing big things for our community.

Easter Dressing Guide

The past few years I have written a Holiday Dressing Guide for Christmas outlining what to wear for a variety of different events. And Easter, like Christmas, has a lot going on. There are crawfish boils, egg hunts and Easter Sunday church services that need all the right things to wear.

My Easter dressing motto…
Sweet. Southern. Style.

To me there are three main components of Easter that we will be talking about. Easter Egg Hunts leading up to the Easter weekend, Good Friday Crawfish Boils and Easter Sunday outfits. In the south Spring weather starts long before Easter but there are some deep-seated rules about fashion in Southern Culture…like no white and no Seersucker before Easter. Personally, I think rules are meant to be broken but for those who stick to them Easter is traditionally the start of spring style.

Local Finds

Shopping online is great but when I can find things local, that is my favorite way to shop. I wanted to highlight some plus size items for Easter because they can be harder to find locally.

What to Wear Easter Sunday

Easter Dressing Guide: What to What Easter Sunday
Easter Dressing Guide: What to What Easter Sunday

There are a lot of different things to do Easter weekend but let’s be honest, Easter Sunday is the big show when it comes to ladies’ fashion. Last year churches were closed for Easter which means this year we need to make up for all the Easter looks we missed last year. In my opinion Easter dresses should be pretty and feminine and if you work a hat into your look, it is bonus points.

What to Wear to a Crawfish Boil

Easter means crawfish. It’s like they were meant to be together. Seafood and the Easter Bunny!

What to Wear to an Egg Hunt

Eggs Hunts seem to be the event that kick off the Easter Holiday. They will either be held the weekend before or on Good Friday (and of course Easter Sunday) and my boys love them. And while it is an event for the kids, I love to have a cute outfit because I know there will be an opportunity to get a cute family picture. Easy, effortless and fun is my goal.

Suits for Easter

Other Spring Trends

I wanted to add a little something extra to the Easter Dressing Guide and give you some other fun things to have in your closet for spring. All of these will work for Easter and beyond.

Gingham

Gingham is the pattern of southern spring. I actually prefer it more than seersucker for ladies. I think it is feminine and delicate and most importantly, light weight.

White Shoes

Everyone should have a pair of white shoes in their closet. I know this is going to take you right back to your new white Easter shoes you had growing up, but they really are the perfect spring shoe. These are a few of my favorites from casual to dressy.

XO,

Tiffany
