This is episode 3 of our Capsule Wardrobe Series… Capsule Wardrobe for Spring. So far in this series we have covered Essentials and How To Get Started. This month we are going to cover how to get a functional spring capsule that will last you through the summer.
So let’s cover the basics again. Capsules are a great way to maximize a small wardrobe. Whether you are looking to downsize what you already own, be more effective when packing or rebuild your existing wardrobe, capsules give you a lot of options. The basis of a capsule is building multiple outfits out of a handful of items.
For the purposes of this post the capsule I am building is spring focused. We are basing this on the thought that you have already purchased essentials like tanks, tees and jeans. This capsule is focused on filling in your gaps and being more stylish than your basics. We are covering 25 items in 3 sections… tops, bottoms, accessories.
For this capsule I wanted to pull in some trends like peach and mint and also use puff sleeves and gingham. I am adding some of my personal style and giving you lots of pattern mixing options too. The best thing is that about 80% of this wardrobe you can mix and match!
If you want to add in swim to these looks I suggest you check out these posts. Plus Size Swim // Swimsuits with Sleeves // Swimsuits with Ruffles.
