In 2026 it is easy to feel like breast cancer is a beatable disease. And a lot of the time it is. But we have to be careful not to let that thinking make us forget that people are still dying from it. This past year our friend group has felt her absence in ways that are hard to put into words.

I am a busy person, and I do not always prioritize my health the way I should but this summer I booked my mammogram and I made sure not to reschedule it.

It is never a fun experience. But St. Tammany Women’s Pavilion does a beautiful job; the atmosphere is calm, the robes are warm, and they make something uncomfortable feel a little more manageable.

If you take one thing from this post let it be this. Get checked. Make early detection a priority. If your provider is recommending a preventative screening, then get it done. Your health is your wealth. Not just because you want to live a long life but because you want the quality of that life to be worth living. Early detection saves lives.

Every time I bring up hashtags someone tells me th Every time I bring up hashtags someone tells me they do not work anymore.

Here is my take. Hashtags are still live on Instagram and they are still one of the main ways people search through the platform. Until Instagram tells us they are done I am going to keep using them, intentionally.

What has changed is how you should be using them.

Instagram has officially capped hashtags at 5 per post. Instagram made this change deliberately because stuffing 20 to 30 generic tags into every post was not serving anyone. Hashtags are no longer a reach tool. They are a clarity tool that helps the algorithm understand what your content is about.

5 intentional hashtags beat 30 random ones every single time.

Here is how to pick yours:

-Think about your niche, your audience, and your location
-Think about what someone would actually search — not what you would call your post
-A clown costume post might use #halloweencostume or #cosplay instead of #clowncostume because that is what someone searching for inspiration is actually typing

One more thing most people are missing. Instagram is leaning heavily into SEO and keyword search now. The words in your caption are doing work that hashtags used to do. Write descriptively and use natural language your audience would actually search. The algorithm is reading your words so give it something to work with.

Save this before you write your next post.

This is part one of two. Today we are talking about gift guides for creators. Next Tuesday we are talking about gift guides for retail businesses and small business owners. Save both.

Here is what a well built gift guide actually does for you as a creator:

	•	Drives affiliate revenue through platforms like LTK, ShopMy, Amazon Associates, Collective Voice, Mavely, and Howl
	•	Lives on your blog with its own URL so you own it and it keeps working long after the holidays
	•	Gives you content to distribute across every platform including two Pinterest pins per guide — one to your LTK post and one to your blog
	•	Opens the door to add gift guides as a bonus deliverable in brand collab pitches — and yes, services count too

10 Heart Pattern Pieces You Need This Valentine’s Day

Tiffany in a striped sweater with hearts
Tiffany in a heart pattern dress

February is the month of gray days in Louisiana full of rain and cold with lots of cloud cover. So, I now understand why they scheduled a bright red holiday in the middle of the drabbest month possible! Thankfully Valentines (or Galentines) give us a reason to dress up and do something fun… and the perfect excuse to wear heart pattern outfits.

I don’t need many excuses to wear pattern as you probably already know. But Valentine’s Day is as good of an excuse as any to break out the patterns…especially the heart pattern. There is literally no one who does Valentine’s as seamlessly as LOFT. Each year I have to stop myself and say, Tiffany there is no way you need another heart patterned item. But alas I buy it because it is just so cute. I rounded up 10 of my favorite pieces for your Valentine’s Day look this year.

{This post contains affiliate links. This means if you purchase through the links provided, I make a small commission on the sale at no additional cost to you.}

Going out to dinner or just staying home you can find something cute for this very cheery holiday!

XO,

Tiffany
