Suits for Easter

When I think of Easter I think of dresses. As a young girl thinking about what kind of Easter dress I would wear consumed my mind. Each year my mom and I would go to the store and pick out a new dress and shoes. It always felt special to dress up and have something new for the spring and summer.

Easter as a kid

When I was 8 or 9 my Mom bought me these white shoes with a small heel and these little pastel stripes. I felt so grown up and fancy when I wore them. I can still vividly picture them in my mind.

Easter dresses and Easter Sunday are still one of my favorite things. These days people just don’t dress up for church like they used to but I try to find something fun and swanky for the family. We love to have brunch after Easter Sunday church service and we end the day with an Easter Egg hunt in our backyard. Easter is one of those holidays that feels special.

Something different for Easter

Although I love dresses I wanted to do something a little different this year. Menswear and suiting pieces have become a big trend and women are wearing them to red carpet events and more. I love when people experiment with fashion and women wear things that fit their personal style. When I came across this suit in the stores a few years ago I had to style it for Easter. Even though the suit is a few seasons old I found some similar ones that I linked below.

Let’s talk about Easter hats. Typically you are going to see a hat styled with a dress for Easter Sunday. However I thought this could be a fun combo with the suit. This hat is vintage and was found for me by one of my Instagram followers. She knew my love for hats and sent me some pictures when she was at a antique show. It was in near perfect condition but the button on the front needs a change.
