January style always feels quieter… and I don’t th January style always feels quieter… and I don’t think that’s a bad thing.

This month, I’m leaning into pieces that make getting dressed easier. Things I already own. Outfit formulas that work. Items I keep reaching for because they feel like me, not because they’re trending.

The January Style Edit is live on the blog, and it’s a real look at what I’m actually wearing, rewearing, and relying on right now. No closet reset. No pressure to buy all new. Just personal style that evolves naturally.

If you’re craving a softer, more realistic approach to getting dressed this month, this one’s for you. Save this post and head to the blog to read the full edit.
It has been my experience that finding specialty p It has been my experience that finding specialty pieces for things like Mardi Gras can be difficult for anything over a size large. I have tried really hard over the years to find pieces for things like Mardi Gras that will fit everyone. Pickings were SLIM when I started doing this but over the years the list has grown and I love getting to point out these businesses who are doing the Lords work this Carnival Season. Here we go.

1. @armoireboutiqueplus - Located on Metairie Road on top of having a great collection of Mardi Gras Apparel they also carry gowns from 1XL to 3XL. I love the selection and choices.
2. @shopgoldenlily - My bestie for the restie! Abby stocks a good selection of QOS in sizes 1XL and up. Looking for something specific? Send her a DM.
3. @thepurpletigerboutique - Located in Metairie this shop has the most fun tees and the best skorts for a comfortable and cute Mardi Gras. Megan also stocks some of the best accessories around like crossbody bags and more!
4. @fleurty_girl - the OG Mardi Gras haven! Lauren has always tried to include sizes 1XL and up in her location and online. If you need something that sparkles, go in and check, her out. Also, it’s a great time to grab your spouse or kids something cute too!
5. @fringe.and.company - The home of all things sparkles and shine! Come for their caftans and stay for the fringe tees. They are doing things a little different this year with their drops, but you can grab caftans up to size 5XL. P.S. They also have the studio decorated and will be hosting a few days for pop up Mardi Gras pictures.
6. @slswares - These ladies love Mardi Gras so much they designed their own line! They are based online so check out their website and get some of the cutest pieces.
7. @givetheroyalpeacock - Nancy is always fun and ready to dress everyone. She has several Mardi Gras pieces in stock but can also do custom sweatshirts, tees and more.
8. @shopcosmiccollective - Kate may be done for the season this year because the demand has been HIGH for her blazer capes. Looking for something extra special that no one else will have? Kate is your girl.

Kati LeBreton asked me and @fusilierkate to style her for @thekreweofdolly Fest. Kati was the emcee for the event and wanted a fun outfit that would work with her growing at bump and the last minute curveball of freezing temps. Kate made the custom @shopcosmiccollective dickie. She and I pulled together the rest of the outfit from Kati’s closet and Amazon. I did the accessories with the help of @shopgoldenlily, @kismetcosmetics and @styleencore_mandeville. Can’t wait to see this look again at greasing of the poles in a few weeks while we watch @caleb.blaine do his thing!!!

They are on rotation more than any other sneaker I have in my closet and I would venture to say more than most of my other shoes. They are the perfect profile for pants, dresses and shorts. @fashivly I vote you need the pair you were talking about on TikTok. Best sneakers I own!!
Let’s talk about January, and why it’s the perfect Let’s talk about January, and why it’s the perfect time to tweak your skin.

Cold weather, less sun, and fewer outdoor plans make January ideal for treatments that require downtime and sun avoidance. If you’ve been thinking about introducing retinol, doing laser treatments, or booking a chemical peel, this is your window.

The biggest hurdle with treatments like IPL, Morpheus8, and peels isn’t the treatment itself... it’s protecting your skin while it heals. Post-Christmas and pre-summer gives your skin the time it actually needs to recover, reset, and show results.

What I’m doing this January 👇
• IPL for sun spots and veins on my cheeks and chin
• My third round of Morpheus8 on my neck and marionette lines
• A VI Peel to finish out the month strong

I planned to start a retinol this month, but since I stacked treatments, I’m easing in slowly starting with my chest and the backs of my hands (more on that later).

January skin care isn’t about drastic changes. It’s about smart timing, intention, and setting your skin up for the rest of the year.

If “a little refresh” has been on your wishlist, now really is the time. 💆‍♀️✨

CaBI Fall Fashion So London

***This is a sponsored post for Sharon Bilbe CaBI representative.  All thoughts and opinions are mine.***

I had the opportunity a few weeks ago to preview the entire CaBI fall collection, So London, at an unboxing event.  It was great to see the clothes piece by piece but I was even more excited to see how it looked when it was put together into outfits and styled.  Well last Friday night CaBI representative, Sharon Bilbe, threw a fashion show to debut all of the new line.

Sharon had models of all shapes and sizes as well as age ranges to show the depth of the collection and how you can style it to span the ages.  From mid 20’s to 70+ there was a piece that worked for everyone.

It’s no secret that I love all things Europe.  Especially the UK so as soon as I saw this collection I wanted it all!  This is the first of several posts I will be doing about the fall CaBI line so this is just a glimpse of what the fashion show had to offer.  Also, Please excuse the blurry feet in some of the pictures.  I was trying to take pictures as fast as I could and take in all the London goodness…

This vest is probably one of my favorite pieces in the entire collection.  It is black, gray and navy meaning that you can basically wear it with anything!  All of CaBI’s clothing is very interchangeable but this may be the most versatile of them all.

This jacket could be my second favorite piece in the collection.  It is a beautiful shade of greige so it will go with both brown and black.  It’s also has the feel and look of a denim jacket but the fabric gives it a more luxurious feel.  You can wear the sleeves down or rolled up.

A long boyfriend cardigan is always a good staple piece to have for the fall.  You can wear it with leisure wear, jeans, leggings and over dresses.

Leopard print is ALWAYS a good idea.  I love it in the gray and black with a hint of navy.  Also, this jacket is a great transition piece and can be work with the skirt pictured but also with jeans.

Another fantastic jacket!  This one again could be worn in a work setting or with jeans as pictured.

One of the things I enjoyed about Sharon’s show was the fact that she really used the collection to span the ages.  Pictured above is her mom who modeled for her.  She was the spunkiest model out there.  There really is something for everyone.

Sharon Bilbe is a experience CaBI representative and also a wonderful stylist.  She can do private fittings and personal consultations.  She is committed to finding the right pieces for her clients within their budget that will make them look and feel amazing.  You can contact Sharon by email, mrsbilbe@gmail.com, or on her website or on facebook.

XO,

Tippy

He asked us to hire @cadecaptures.1 to take some pics and I am so incredibly glad we did. Cade is a student photographer who will come to your student athletes game and take pics of them playing. He’s a great kid and immensely talented and I had the pictures back in two days. If you are looking for a way to capture some images of your student athlete send Cade a DM. We will definitely be hiring him again next season. #studentathlete #basketball #juniorhighbasketball #northshore #mandeville
