We are moving into the busiest season of the year, We are moving into the busiest season of the year, so how are you posting on all of your platforms without losing your mind?

Most people feel like they have to be everywhere, and they think that means a brand-new idea for every platform. That is how burnout gets built into the plan, and burnout is the reason people stop posting right when it matters most.

My goal is always for you to do less so content does not take over your life. You do not need more ideas, you need to stretch the ones you already have.

Start with one idea instead of one platform. It could be a how-to, a tip, a product you love, or an event you just went to. Build the full version first as a blog post or a newsletter section, with all the details and links. While you are creating it, grab a few photos and record a short video, because that one session gives you what you need for everything else. The video can go to TikTok, a reel or carousel can go to Instagram and Facebook, and Pinterest can get a pin with a little information that links back to your blog.

Just remember that posting the exact same file everywhere is not repurposing. Change the hook, the format, and the caption to fit where it lives, and the idea stays the same while the packaging changes.

More platforms does not have to mean more work. Pick one thing you already created this week and decide where else it can live.

Save this for the week you feel behind on content, and follow along for more digital strategy every Tuesday.

One last Halloween post because this deserves a pl One last Halloween post because this deserves a place on my feed. @johnexnicios asked me to help him with a costume idea he has this year. Alfred Hitchcock “The Birds”. He wanted the birds to look like they were flying over his head and I was like, I think this might be above my costuming pay grade.

Alas he is persistent and I have an unhealthy attachment with thinking everything is #figureitoutable. I started with shredding the suit. The flying birds I attached with wire coat hangers and loads of hot glue. We reinforced the wires to give them some stability with a flat piece of cardboard. Everything was held on my loads of hot glue (a mix of low temp and hot temp) and some e6000.

Not sure how it held up in the quarter last night but we shall see. So next question… should I do Halloween costume commissions next year? You know with all the extra time I have on my hands 😂

Fall Wardrobe Staple Olive Jumpsuit

Jumpsuits seem to be the maxi dress of the moment.  Easy and fun and a complete outfit all in one.  It definitely makes putting a simple outfit together a lot easier.  Another thing I really love about jumpsuits is that they span all of the season.

So I found this jumpsuit at Forever 21 and it was marked down to $3.00.  Not kidding.  $3.00!  I love olive for the fall as much as I love blush and burnt orange.  It just makes me think all the fall thoughts.  To me, because I love color so much, olive is a neutral.  I use it a lot to mix with other colors like blush, gray and chambray blue.  I have several olive items for the fall including jeans and a vest and a pair of joggers.

This romper was a little plain and simple so I styled it with a pair of 70’s looking heels to give it more of that vibe.  I am loving all of the 70’s inspired fashion and am so happy to see that trend isn’t going away anytime soon.  I think out of all of the decades that we relive it is my favorite.

Jumpsuit: Forever 21 sold out.  Similar here and here.
Shoes: Target here
Earrings: Golden Lily similar here
Necklace: Virtue Jewelry here
Bracelet: Golden Lily here

I have so much fun fall fashion planned to share with all of you.  Check back often or subscribe to our emails to get the notifications on all our new posts.

XO,

Tippy

Welcome to Halloween week. We have so many fun thi Welcome to Halloween week. We have so many fun things planned. #halloween #halloqueen #meangirls
I’ve always wanted to do a Carrie costume. I have I’ve always wanted to do a Carrie costume. I have a list of costumes on my phone that I’ve been filtering through each year and Carrie was top. I knew I wanted this to be beaded and that would require a lot of time so i waited for a year I knew I had time to commit.

So, rewind to July. Yes, July. I got the dress and took it to my backyard where I poured acrylic paint and water on it while standing on a ladder to make the splatter look right. @fusilierkate came over for a rhinestone consultation so I could visualize a plan. I distinctly remember her saying, you aren’t going to rhinestone all the way to the bottom, right? And at the time that sounded like a crazy idea….

I laid 8,000 individual rhinestones.

But my commitment to the plot is unmatched and since I had time I beaded the whole thing in ss20 Siam rhinestones. I used a few appliqués, mesh loaded with stones to fill larger spaces, just to make the workload a little lighter and to add some visual difference in the pattern. Remember we wanted this to look like dried blood so it needed texture and angles so it didn’t just look like a pretty dress.

I also went back and forth about the headpiece. Initially I thought I was going to do a bucket suspended above my head but I saw a lot of reference photos with that already so I went a different direction with the tiara and veil. Again texture and layers.

Last came the bucket. I had to free hand the blood with a sharpie. An artist I am not so this was probably the most difficult part. I lined it with tulle and strings of rhinestones so I could dump in on my head during the costume content. #preformanceart

Overall I could not be happier with how it turned out. She will be available for rent when I fix a few minor pieces I broke off Friday night. Let me know if you would be interested.

PS thank you to @30byninety theater for allowing me to use their Zombie Prom set as the background for my shoot. It was perfection. As always @skylarkuhn_ @skylartheriotphotography gave me some beautifully shot images.

Already working on my next idea.
