Being the emcee of Hammers and Heels for the last Being the emcee of Hammers and Heels for the last five years has been one of the greatest pleasures in my life. The first time I went to the event I knew I wanted to be involved. One because I love fashion but two because I sat by a future Habitat homeowner and that conversation changed me. I have always had a heart for affordable housing but this event gave me a tangible way of helping with that issue.

When they asked me to start emceeing it was an immediate yes because who says no to being able to dress up and dance on stage in front of a bunch of screaming women.

I am excited to remain involved with this event but cannot wait to see someone new wrangling these ladies in their seats each year as the emcee. It’s only going to keep getting better and better and raising more and more money because the staff at Habitat and this committee of women are incredible. Literally.

Another glorious morning… Makes Me SICK!

Did you watch the new Hocus Pocus this weekend? I am hearing a lot of mixed reviews. I know the cult following runs hard with that movie so in my opinion expectations were high. Either way, love it or hate it, October is the perfect season for a spooky movie night.

Full transparency I didn’t watch the first Hocus Pocus until last week. I know… It is almost blasphemous with how much I love Halloween, but it is true. I thought it was really cute and have no idea why we have not watched it sooner.

We don’t do family movie nights as much as I would like but now that the nights are getting cooler, and the sun is setting earlier it feels like the perfect weekend treat. I came up with a fun list of movies that I think should make your list this Halloween season.

Photo shoot details

This was my Halloween dream in real life. I have always wanted to have a styled Halloween shoot like this. Last year I had big plans for a shoot, and it was messed up with Ida. This year I was able to shoot 4 over the top costumes by myself and also did one shoot with the kids. It was amazing and I just love how creative shoots like this allow me to be. Also, getting to spend half a day with other creatives working on this shoot was fantastic.

I started talking to Stephanie at Fluff Gourmet in the summer about this shoot. I saw her do fairy floss (cotton candy) wigs for Bastille Day in New Orleans and it looked like so much fun. She was a wizard. It took about 20 minutes for her to construct the wig. Follow them on Instagram.

Sara Sinclair was my second call to book The Inn at La Provance for the shoot. We shot all of my 2022 Halloween content at their beautiful location in Lacombe. Follow them on Instagram.

Rachel is my girl for all things photo and helped with the Reels too. She is amazing and has a great list of options for mini sessions this year. Follow her on Instagram.

Stay Spooky,

Tiffany

You only turn 50 once and we had to do it big. Las You only turn 50 once and we had to do it big. Last night we celebrated Justin with a bourbon dinner at @pardosmandeville and it was perfection. Osman and his team truly knocked this out of the park. We started the night with a bourbon tasting on the patio and passed hors d’oeuvres. Later in the evening we sat down to a three course meal with paired bourbon cocktails.

I shared a few things about planning this last month but I wanted you to see the finished product. All of the finishing touches came together perfectly for the masculine, dark palette I had in mind.

Plus the cake yall. Beautiful and delicious and made by my friend @whitneypalmer701.

We ate too much. Drank too much. Laughed until our sides hurt. Literally the perfect evening.
