I have a group of friends who I try to organize brunch with quarterly. Last year our scheduled time just so happened to be in October and it seemed like the perfect opportunity to throw a witches brunch.

Witches Brunch – The Details
Details are my specialty. I started with the table. All black linens. The black and white napkins and placemats are from my Christmas décor. I used plastic cauldrons for the floral arrangements and added all deep red flowers that I found at Trader Joes. The plastic skeleton hands were the perfect topper.
At each place setting I provided guests with a witch hat and a small broom that I found at Target in the dollar spot. For favors I did a post card with a recipe for a peanut butter whiskey drink and a small bottle of whiskey.
We had all sorts of brunch item like quiche and bacon but I also made a grazing board with dark cheeses and fruits. Trader Joe’s had a great selection of meats and cheeses that fit the dark theme and then I found a few meat cleaver cheese knives. To drink we did champagne with black edible glitter that made them black and sparkly. We also made a bourbon cocktail with apple cider.
Happy Halloween!
