Summer Date Night Looks

Summer date nights are the best. I am not sure if it is the warm air or what but summer evenings make me feel fun and flirty. Summer is also the time of year when we get date night consistently. During the school year our nights and weekends are filled with school and sports and other events. Summer is our time to relax and unwind from the busy schedule so we have more evenings open to go out just the two of us.

I pulled a few fun things from Perfectly Priscilla this month to show you what I would wear on a summer date night.

One Shoulder / Asymmetrical

I love a one shoulder or asymmetrical top on a dress. It just makes it feel a little more special and like you are ready for a fun night. I also love wearing black in the summer as well. It is a great color for showing off your tan.

Ruffles

Ruffles are always a good idea! I love how these fall and the fabric is soft so it gives the dress an overall romantic feel. One added bonus is this soft, neutral snake print that is just lovely.

Blue

I gravitate to blue in the summer because it works with my eyes but blue really is a lovely color on just about anyone. Especially in the summer. It reminds me of the sky and the beach and it looks lovely on sun kissed skin on porcelain too.

Date nights are supposed to be fun and effortless. Don’t over think it. Where what you like, what makes you feel your best and what puts the biggest smile on your face. All of those things are what make you shine the brightest.
