When the internet went mainstream I was a senior i When the internet went mainstream I was a senior in high school. By college we were having real conversations about ethics, libel, and what it meant to publish something online. The rules came later and they came hard for the people who were not paying attention.

We are in that exact same moment right now with AI.

Earlier this year two New Orleans city attorneys resigned after using ChatGPT on a federal court filing. Nine case citations were completely fabricated. A federal judge sanctioned both of them. Both resigned. (Information per WWLTV and WDSUTV)

This happened here. In our city.

The guardrails are not in place yet. That means your judgment is the only protection you have right now. Think before you put something into AI. Think harder before you use what comes out.

Some things should never go into an AI platform. Client data. Confidential business information. Legal documents. Financial records. Anything private.

If you work in a regulated industry the policies are coming for you first. And if your employer does not have an AI protocol yet that is not a green light. That is a gap.

I use AI every single day. I believe in it. But just because no one has told you not to yet does not mean it is not coming.

The attorneys in New Orleans did not think it would come back on them either.

Fall Lip and Nail Colors

With the change of seasons comes a change of colors with everything from clothing to shoes and beauty products too. My go to colors are usually red for my lips and blush for my nails but I love the chance to try something new with each season too.

This year I teamed up with Caitlin from Kismet to show you some fun lipstick colors for fall and highlight the new fall Essies and OPI nail colors too.

Lips.

Roomie Red. My personal pick and favorite because I love red and because it is the signature lip color of my alma mater Southeastern Louisiana University.

Mood. The most perfect shade of deep red for any skin color with a touch of jewel tone.

Gig Em. Deep shade of eggplant. Perfect for that 90’s throwback.

Desert Rose. If you are looking for something more subtle for fall.

Nails.

Essie. This fall collection is reminiscent of autumn in the countryside. My two personal favorites are Easily Suede and Rust Worthy.

OPI. Scotland is the OPI signature series for fall. All of the best colors from a Scottish Autumn. My personal favorites are Visit a Castle and Good Girls Gone Plaid.

What’s Trending.

Sometimes it’s fun to see colors that may be an unexpected choice for season. This year these are a few of my favorite unexpected nail colors for fall.

One Heckle a Color. I am a little in love with lavender for fall this year. I have some fun things coming up incorporating it into my wardrobe but this light purple with gray undertones is the perfect manicure color for fall.

Freedom of Peach. Peach is the perfect combination of oranges and pink and nude for your fall wardrobe.

Tickle My France-y. This is my personal favorite shade of nude/blush.
