Spring Shorts Sets

All the leaves are green and the sky is blue and it smells like spring.  A few months ago I started making a must have list for spring and a few things like gingham, floral and a short set were on the list.  Something about a short set just makes me happy.  I can’t wear this outfit without feeling a little sassy and wanting to show off my tan legs.  It’s all my feelings for spring in one outfit.

The spring brings so much great weather but it also brings along food festivals, outdoor concerts, bbqs, crawfish boils and more.  The mild but warm temps only last for so long down here in Louisiana so we make the most of it.

I had been on the lookout for a short set and this one happened to catch my eye at Mackenzie and Me when I was checking out.  I immediately started making a list in my head of all of the reasons that I needed it.  Aside from the cute print I also loved the sleeves on the top and the details on the shorts.  Plus I felt like I would be able to wear it as a set or separately too.

If you are looking to maximize your wardrobe for a trip this summer a short set would be the way to do it…

 

My absolute favorite things about this set is the pattern because the color options are endless.  I also loved that the fabric was light so it would work in the hot spring and summer weather.  I also would be able to wear a bra with straps which is a nice option to have.  I bought this one in a large which I think worked because of the boho fit.  I would say it runs TTS.  I also paired it with these flat sandals but it would work with wedges too.  Lastly these Golden Lily feather earrings were the perfect compliment to the outfit.
