I knew I wanted to shift toward fashion and personal branding but I was not sure how to make that change without losing what I had already built. So I kept creating and sat with it for a while.

In June 2025 I made the move. I added one digital marketing post per week. One post. Same cadence. Just a new direction layered in.

The engagement on those posts was lower. It was noticeable and honestly it was uncomfortable. But I had made a commitment to give it time and I kept going.

Here is what I want you to know about making a content shift.

There will be a dip. That is not a sign to stop. That is just the algorithm and your audience catching up to where you are going. You have to decide before you start how long you are going to commit to the change. Because if you abandon the plan after one week because the numbers scared you, you will never know what was on the other side.

What was on the other side for me was people using my content in their businesses. Followers coming in specifically because of the digital marketing posts. Real feedback from real people telling me it was helping them.

And the newsletters. Shifting my newsletters to match the digital focus has been the biggest benefit of the entire change. Getting that content straight into someone’s inbox is a different kind of connection than a post in a feed.

Create content that is consistent with what is actually happening in your life and your business. Your community will shift and grow with you.

But only if you give them something real to find.

Save this for the next time you are afraid to make a change.

Dressing Room Diaries – Au Darling

After having an online boutique for sometime Au Darling opened their first store front in Mandeville in April of this year.  Owner Kylen has a unique sense of style and it is apparent from the choices in merchandise to the decor of the boutique.  I was immediately smitten with this little gem the first time I entered the doors.

The summer has been busy and I haven’t been keeping up with the boutiques in the area as much as I would like.  Also, July seems to be the time that no one wants to shop so all of the store are getting rid of summer merchandise and making way for Fall and Winter.  Plus it’s one million degrees so who wants to try on clothes anyway.

Last night I had a sitter so I decided to take a quick trip over to the store and see what she had going on.  Earlier last week I heard she had some amazing moto jackets so I was interested to see.  I accidentally stumbled into an awesome sale and got to try on a few new pieces for fall.

This jacket ended up being one of the last things that I tried on but it was by far my favorite.  It’s a mixed pattern tweed but its constructed like a moto jacket.  All the praise hands.  I didn’t buy it and I have had buyers remorse all day long.  It is the perfect piece for the fall because it’s going to work for all of your dressy events and casual outfits as well.  Plus it was super comfortable and warm.

Y’all!  This dress!  There really aren’t words.  I have been racking my brain all day for a place that I can wear this to.  This dress fits like a glove and there is a slight stretch to the fabric which makes it fit even better.  The velvet is super soft and the color is neutral to point that it would go with black or metallic or even a nude shoe.  If you want this I would go and buy it today because I don’t think that it will last long.

One of the things that I appreciate so much about Kylen’s store is that she really takes the crazy Louisiana seasons into consideration when she is picking seasonal looks.  A lot of her summer looks can be worn in the fall and winter can be worn in spring and so on.  She also chooses pieces that will layer easily so that you can add a jacket when a night may be cooler than the day.  This skirt was perfection and the lace overlay had an asymmetrical hem and the slip was a straight hem.  It had the look of a mini without being short all the way around.  I took this home with me immediately.  I paired it with this top because of the warm night but I can picture it with a long sleeved sweater or a leather jacket.

I had to grab a few deals from the sale rack to show you also.  This was marked down 50% off!  There is still plenty of time to wear this dress this year but it would be great for next summer too.  Whenever I see bright pink in a store I always think of my NYX girls who love all things pink and black.  This about this with a black knee high boots ladies!

Again, this came home with me.  No questions asked I was like, check, buying this.  Fits perfectly and I love the peek a boo hem.  It’s kind of a very classic cut with a sexy little sheer hem and waist.  I can’t wait to wear this.  I am saving it as a potential for family pics.

If you have time stop by the shop this weekend as her 50% off sale is still going on.  They also have the greatest accessories and shoes and sunglasses so there is always something new to see.

Looking forward to so much more fall on the blog in the next few weeks.  Fall is my favorite time of the year so I am having to hold myself back from buying everything!  No go shopping!

XO,

Tippy
