The honest review of the Fall Target Designer Collab is I love it. I spent about $350 but I easily could have spent more because it is all that good.
Each Target designer collab gets a little bit better. I remember some of the first ones they did and the quality and fit always felt off. Plus there was almost never any plus size options. A few that come to mind like Victoria Beckham were cut really small and I remember a lot sitting on the shelves. With each collab they seem to be getting more and more right and I love it.
This collab was even more edgy than the one they did in the early summer. These pieces are high fashion and not something that everyone is going to like or want to wear. The entire collection are very on trend for what is coming out of fashion week and New York City in general. They are pushing limits with pattern and textures and I personally love it.
While the quality has increased the prices have stayed what I would consider “Target Appropriate.” The thing that makes these collabs so great is the access it gives people to brands that may be out of their price point. I appreciate that Target is thinking about their idea client when they are creating the prices for these pieces.
The last thing I want to talk about is the inclusivity. Target has worked a lot this year to be one of the most inclusive retailers out there. They have added inclusivity to the models from size to skin color to disability to show case their products on as many bodies as possible. I appreciate that they are now having designers who collaborate with them do the same. This collection went from an XS to a 4XL. I would love to see them go higher than than but I do appreciate the effort they are making now.
I am giving you a little review of all of the pieces that I bought. This year I got one piece from each collection.

This was the very first outfit that I had my eye on. It was also the first thing that I put into my cart. I was curious to see what the knit quality was going to be. Knit shorts can really be hit or miss depending on the quality. The knit on these is excellent. The weight of the material is also great. They don’t lose their shape during the day and they aren’t see through or clinging to your bottom.
The top is also excellent. It has an oversized fit but the arms were created perfectly to give coverage so your bra isn’t showing when you lift your arms up. Very well thought out and created in a quality way.

This pattern grabbed me right from the start. I loved that it was a set which is super on trend. I love a dress but a set definitely gives you the option to break things up and wear it multiple ways. I purchased this from the plus section but was still worried that maybe I should have sized up in the skirt. It was perfect. Well made and also lined. The fabric is slightly sheer so the fact that they thought to line both pieces was great. Again the whole line is incredibly well made.

This line was all of my 70’s dreams in real life. I loved that it had the vintage vibe with an upscale look. I wish the waist on the skirt was constructed slightly better but it is still a good fit. I would have also put the slit on the front of the skirt rather than the side if it were up to me.

This collection was so feminine and edgy. I loved that online they paired everything with combat boots. This look makes me feel like a fashion forward character in Star Wars. Like can’t you see Rae wearing this with her light saber?

Overall I am in love with this whole collection. I am resisting the urge to buy more. I can’t wait for the next collab Target comes up with.
