In early 2024 I rebranded from We Five Kings to Ti In early 2024 I rebranded from We Five Kings to Tiffany King Creative.

I knew I wanted to shift toward fashion and personal branding but I was not sure how to make that change without losing what I had already built. So I kept creating and sat with it for a while.

In June 2025 I made the move. I added one digital marketing post per week. One post. Same cadence. Just a new direction layered in.

The engagement on those posts was lower. It was noticeable and honestly it was uncomfortable. But I had made a commitment to give it time and I kept going.

Here is what I want you to know about making a content shift.

There will be a dip. That is not a sign to stop. That is just the algorithm and your audience catching up to where you are going. You have to decide before you start how long you are going to commit to the change. Because if you abandon the plan after one week because the numbers scared you, you will never know what was on the other side.

What was on the other side for me was people using my content in their businesses. Followers coming in specifically because of the digital marketing posts. Real feedback from real people telling me it was helping them.

And the newsletters. Shifting my newsletters to match the digital focus has been the biggest benefit of the entire change. Getting that content straight into someone’s inbox is a different kind of connection than a post in a feed.

Create content that is consistent with what is actually happening in your life and your business. Your community will shift and grow with you.

But only if you give them something real to find.

Save this for the next time you are afraid to make a change.

2 Ways to Style a Maxi Skirt

When I walked into Stella Dallas Boutique for their fall launch party last year one of the girls walked up to me and said, “I have already pulled this amazing skirt for you. You need it and you need to take an epic picture in it.” It is still, hands down, one of my favorite skirts and I am going to show you two ways to style it!

I immediately loved it and knew I needed it. My mind was spinning on all of the different ways I could style it. Typically when you are purchasing something dressy it feels like that is the only way you can wear it. There are actually a lot of different ways to wear this skirt and I am going to show you two of them.

Casual.

When I go into a fitting room I lay everything out and think about what I want to put together. When I am pulling from the racks I don’t worry about what goes with what because those decisions are made in the fitting room. Personally I like to see the items separate from the store because it makes me look at them all in a different way.

When I was looking through everything they pulled for me I was drawn to this tee. It’s easy to look at this maxi skirt and only imagine it with a dressy top but I wanted to put my own unique spin on it. As for shoes, I would wear this look with a pair of cute sneakers.

Dressy.

I loved the casual option for this maxi skirt but what if you want to wear this on a date night or out somewhere a little more upscale? The great thing about this skirt is that it will work with flats, sneakers, booties and heels. I threw it on with my white booties because I knew it would give it a little edge I was looking for. It went so perfectly with this black cami.

The difference between this look and the casual look. In the casual look I wanted the entire outfit to be the focal point, taking a little of the spotlight off the skirt so it didn’t look overly dressy. In the dressy look I wanted the skirt to standout so pairing it with the black cami allowed it to have it’s own moment.

How to put this look together.

This post was originally written last year but I wanted to give you some options on how to create this look now.

The next time you are in a store and thinking about turning an item you love down because you don’t have the right place to wear it think of this. Sometimes it’s about making an occasion for the right outfit rather than buying the right outfit for an occasion.

Xo,

Tiffany
