Gone are the days of seasons having “traditional” colors. We are seeing lots of lavender in fall fashion and everyone is wearing white after labor day. In 2019 there really aren’t any rules anymore.
I took my love of mixing things up and brought it into my fall décor this year. I love the traditional colors of fall but this year I did more blues and grays in my décor. I was still able to use some of my orange and yellows and they blended nicely.

Dining Room Table.
If we can wear white after labor day than why can’t we use our seersucker napkins too? They were the perfect shade of blue to match the leaves in my tablecloth. This tablecloth is out of stock but I found a runner here that has some beautiful colors in it.
All of the pumpkins I picked up from the Target Dollar Spot but there are so many options on their website like mini fabric, mini suede, velvet, patterned, felt, and sequins. I picked mostly blue and gray for the top and did little pops of orange on the bottom to make it stand out.
As for the place settings , blue plates similar here, white here, seersucker napkins, black and white similar here.
Living Room.
I stayed with greens on the coffee table since my tray is blue. On the mantle I did more the blues and gray with pops of orange and yellow. It is making me love my fireplace color event more now. The pumpkins I used are the same that are linked above.
As for placement. I always have an idea of what I want things to look like in my mind. When I start placing things I try to stand back and see if they look balanced to my eye. Sometimes I change things around or I will let them sit for a few days and see how if grows on me.
My goal is always to make my home feel cozy for fall and these colors are accomplishing that.
