Fall finally feels like it arrived. Sort of. It was cold then cool then hot then cold then hot again. I thought by the time November hit we would get some consistency but maybe not.
It’s nice when I can find pieces that are on trend for fall weather but aren’t too hot for our warm climate. This gold top I picked up from the LOFT is the perfect piece for this very issue.
This top is perfect for pulling in that velvet trend but the short sleeves allow me not to sweat while wearing it. I consider that a huge win.
Bottoms.
I love the velvet with these jeans but what are a few other ways you could wear it? Here are my ideas.
This plaid skirt is easy and fun and would look amazing with the gold top. I am linking it in regular sizing and plus. One of the things that drew me to this skirt is the fact that you could put a pair of tights with it and wear it all winter long.
I personally own this skirt and planned to wear it with my gold velvet top when I bought it. This skirt comes in regular and also plus. I like the smooth leather against the plush velvet. It is such a pretty combination.
These pants only come in regular and petite but they are so cute. I love the light charcoal and with the gold top it would be a really a great work to happy hour outfit.
Tops.
So what if it gets cold on you when you are wearing this top? I have a few suggestions for ways to warm up this short sleeve look.
Just like with the faux leather skirt this faux leather jacket is going to look really luxe against the velvet shirt. This jackets comes in regular.
This top would be really lovely layered under the gold velvet top. Such a pretty casual way to wear a more luxe top. Styling this with jeans and a hat would finish the look.
You really can’t go wrong with a black and white open front cardigan. This one is perfect and would work with jeans, leggings or pants. Available in regular and plus.
Keep this selection in mind for Thanksgiving dinner. It really would be a great outfit whether you family is dressy or casual.
XO,
Tippy
