White Linen Night has long been a favorite event of mine in New Orleans. It’s such a fun time and a great way to start the end of summer. The organizers have spent a lot of time cultivating it into the event it is today. When we first started attending it was a simple art walk with some wine booths along the way. Now it is over the top with bands and food selections from all over the city and oh yeah… wine flavored snoballs.
We usually attend two White Linen Nights a year. The one in New Orleans and two weeks later in Covington. So this means of course that I need two different white dresses… right? I started looking a few months ago but I really wanted something that was going to stand out. When I came across this Au Darling dress I knew it was the one. The colorful straps were the perfect compliment to the bright white. I also knew that Abby with Golden Lily had the most amazing earrings to go with it.
Done. Now on to number two.
The second dress I found was from Palm Village Mandeville a Lilly Pulitizer Store. They had pulled it for me in a fitting and when I tried it on I knew it was leaving with me. There was something so classically sexy about the cold shoulder and the peek-a-boo lace.

We ended up not being able to attend White Linen Night in New Orleans because there was a flash flood. I mean can you even? So disappointing.
We did get to have dinner just Big Daddy and I so that was nice and even though it wasn’t the evening we planned we still enjoyed a night out without the kids.
However there is still the one in Covington so we are hoping the weather will hold out for that.
Also, can we talk about how white our teeth are? Thanks to Endless Summer Beauty Spa they got our teeth white and my crazy tan evened out from vacation!
Enjoy your last few weeks of summer and get ready to put all the white away and pull out all the fall. Praying for a cool Fall this year!
XO,
Tippy
