We have our first beach trip planned for May . Literally so excited. When we go to the beach I have three goals in mind with that I bring. 1. Cute 2. Cool 3. Comfortable. I also make a larger effort not to overpack (I have another post coming to you May 1st about packing a capsule for the beach.) This makes looking for the right resort wear pieces very important.

I have a few favorites that I wanted to share with you. Every trip we take these are some of my summer time staples that I go back to year after year.

Wrap Dress

I wanted to show off this wrap dress as a coverup option. When packing it is always great to have things that will work more than one job. This dress is easy to put on over a beach look and the color is perfect.

Tie Back Dress

This dress got me because of the pattern but it kept my interest because of the back tie. Perfect for a laid back beach dinner or drinks and no bra required. The tie in the back was just the right amount of support. Dresses like these are great when there is minimal time between beach and dinner. Grab and go.

Embroidered Shift Dress

This is another one of my favorite throw on options. It is lightweight and the pattern is so cute! High neckline keeps the straps off of your sunburned shoulders. You may be thanking me for that tip a few days into your trip.

Striped Maxi

I always have a maxi in my bag when we are going on a summer trip. They really really are one of my favorite dress styles for the spring and summer. Maxi dresses are like wearing stylish pajamas. They don’t need a lot of styling. Grab a hat and a pair of flip flops and you are ready to go.
