I first noticed Gibson Look while following Lindsey from The Motherchic. I saw that she was doing a collection with them for Nordstrom. It always peaks my interest to see other bloggers doing something huge things like designing.
When looking into the brand I was pleased to find that they not only offered cute, functional pieces at a reasonable price point but they were making all their options in regular and plus. Each piece in their collections is available in regular sizing and then in plus. The exact same pieces. I always like to repeat this, size inclusive means that the brand carries the same pieces in all of their sizes. They aren’t making a separate line for plus.
Their brand really seeks to include everyone. “Elevate casual and soften the formal”, as they like to say. The line is versatile and fun and easy to wear like it’s shown or mix and match!
Style.
The brand is divided into collections launching a few times a year. The pieces that I purchased were from the Hi, Sugarplum collection which was a collaboration with blogger Cassie Sugarplum. The current collection that just launched is Hot Summer Nights and was a collaboration with Roselyn Weaver, Amanda West, Two Peas in Prada, and Natalie Kennedy.
These Influencer driven collections are collaborations but still reflect the Gibson Look style.
Sizing .
They have a very helpful sizing chart on their website that shows you all the sizes and measurements from regular through the plus in one place. Surprisingly some places carry two size charts and if you are midsized it can be a lot of clicking back and forth. I liked that it was all in one place.
Sizing differs greatly between stores but I consider myself a 16/18 and XL in most lines. In the Gibson Look pieces I purchased I went with a 1XL in the top and a 2XL in the pants. If I reordered I would have done a 1XL in the pants also.
On My Wish List.
