Gift guides are one of the most powerful tools a c Gift guides are one of the most powerful tools a creator has during the holiday season — and most people are not using them.

This is part one of two. Today we are talking about gift guides for creators. Next Tuesday we are talking about gift guides for retail businesses and small business owners. Save both.

Here is what a well built gift guide actually does for you as a creator:

	•	Drives affiliate revenue through platforms like LTK, ShopMy, Amazon Associates, Collective Voice, Mavely, and Howl
	•	Lives on your blog with its own URL so you own it and it keeps working long after the holidays
	•	Gives you content to distribute across every platform including two Pinterest pins per guide — one to your LTK post and one to your blog
	•	Opens the door to add gift guides as a bonus deliverable in brand collab pitches — and yes, services count too

Start by planning your categories. Gifts for her. Gifts under $50. Stocking stuffers. The more specific the guide the more useful it is — and useful content gets saved and shared.

The creators who win the holiday season start building now.

Save this and start planning your first guide this week.

Fashion week never really stops in New Orleans. Fashion week never really stops in New Orleans.

Last night @abbydumatrait and I were able to check out all of @shopcosmiccollective runway show pieces as well as her new fur and fringe combo stoles. @theclosetbyscsc hosted and we scoured the racks of what is available to rent. Yes, rent. The Closet is open by appointment to rent their clothes as well as jewelry, hats and other accessories.

We ended the night with @bylauracitron and @anyoldiron at the grand opening party for Any Old Iron on Magazine Street. Their shop is the perfect addition to New Orleans and needs to be your next shopping stop!! Andrew and Laura are both just so incredibly talented and I’m excited for them to be in our city.

How old are your knees? How old are your knees?
If the number of people who saw your last post wer If the number of people who saw your last post were standing in a room in front of you would you be happy talking to that many people about what you do?

Most of the time the answer is yes.

We are so focused on chasing big numbers that we forget the people who are actually showing up. Before you decide something flopped make sure your perspective is not the problem first.

That said — you should absolutely be evaluating everything you put out. If something is not performing the way you hoped there is information in that. Here is what to look at:

	•	Engagement rate — divide your total engagements by your followers and multiply by 100. A 1% to 3% rate is considered good
	•	Who saw it — was it mostly followers or non followers and what does that tell you
	•	Was the format right — would it have worked better as a carousel, a reel, or a static image
	•	The caption — was the hook strong enough, was it too long, too short, did it have a clear call to action
	•	Posting time — did it go up during your audience’s peak activity window
	•	Did you engage after posting — the first 30 to 60 minutes signals to the algorithm that your content is generating conversation
	•	Repurpose it — a post that flopped on Instagram might be exactly what a TikTok or Pinterest audience needed
	•	Give it time — people need to see something 15 to 28 times before they engage, one post is rarely enough

A flopped post is not a failure. It is information.
Use it.

Save this for the next time something does not perform the way you hoped.

Size Inclusive Brands – Kortni Jeane Swim

I want to thank Kortni Jeane for sending me this beautiful suit to review. I am always excited when brands want to work with me and this collaboration was perfect timing.

As a girl who’s body isn’t a one size fits all shape I have had my eye on Kortni Jeane for a while. Not only are their suits fun but they all come where you can mix and match tops and bottoms. You know I love to mix a pattern so these suits seemed perfect for me.

One of the first things that I noticed when I was picking out my suit was they had added a small disclaimer to their size chart reminding you that they had made small changes to the sizing this year based off of their customers reviews. Um What?!?! A brand who actually listens to the feedback of the people supporting their products. That is a total yes for me.

Sizing.

I used their size chart and went with a XL top and a XXL bottom. Both fit very well and I would encourage you to use their measurement system. There is no correct sizing when it comes to SML so remember that using your measurements will ensure the correct fit.

Pricing.

The suits range from $45 for bottoms to $99 for one pieces. There are also suits in the $60 range for men and $30 and up for babies and kids.

Pattern / Color.

I decided on the lavender top and mint bottoms. I really wanted to do a pattern on the top and bottom but this was just such a good combo I went with it.

Top.

I loved this top immediately because you could wear it 4 different ways. I knew it would photograph beautifully but I also thought it would be fun to wear all the different ways. This top is incredibly easy to turn into a pool party outfit.

Bottoms.

I chose the tie-up front bottoms. They are high waisted and I liked the tie on the front. The only down side is the tie shows when I wear my cover up. I usually untie it and then just tie it back when I take my coverup off.

Overall thoughts on the suit.

I love it. It is comfortable and cute and the quality is amazing. Like I said with other suits you really are getting what you pay for. This suit was well made and really looks good on my body. I can tell that they take their time to know how to make a lady with curves look good and feel her best.

I also love that all of their tops can work with a skirt for wearing to a pool party or beach lunch or anything you need to do.

XO, Tippy
