When I started thinking about writing this post I wondered if it was too early. But then I started looking back on my old content calendars and realized that I was posting about holiday in the beginning of October so here we go. The truth is there some great sales going on now so it is never too early for holiday shopping
The holiday party season is going to kick off in a little more than a month. I know we have our first event scheduled on November 24th. Some stores are using this time to sell remaining merchandise they had left from last year but many stores are already receiving holiday pieces. It’s crazy how this year has just flown by.
My holiday shopping list is this…
- a splurge piece for Christmas Eve or Christmas Day
- 2 to 3 pieces that can be interchangeable with each other or with things I already own.
- a casual tee or leggings or something fun for casual event.
With that in mind these are a few of the things I have my eye on right now. {This post contains affiliate links}
This J.Crew Velvet skirt is one of my favorite picks for holiday. Currently it is on sale on jcrew.com and Nordstrom. This skirt would look fantastic with a blouse or sweater but you could also pair it with a tshirt for a more casual event. I also love the waist of the skirt and the length.
Black // Vintage Gold // Gentle Sea
Tops I would pair it with:
White Tee // White Lace Crop Top // Faux Wrap Sweater
These pants are a great wear now and wear later piece. On sale this week at Nordstrom. These pants would be an easy piece to make a fantastic outfit with. Black pants are always a good piece to have in your wardrobe but this fit is very on trend this season. I like that they are also high wasted so you can wear them with the shorter length tops (crop tops) that are popular currently.
What I would wear it with:
Tiffany Asymmetrical Blouse // Tie Front Faux Wrap Top // Topshop Asymmetrical Twist Top
This jumpsuit would be a great addition to your winter wardrobe. I love the wrap top and puff sleeve. The deep navy is such a rich looking color and this could really carry you from Thanksgiving to New Years Eve. This jumpsuit isn’t on sale yet but the Chelsea28 brand is a great price point. This piece is currently $149 on Nordstrom.com.
How I would style it:
Sheer Turtleneck // Ankle Strap Sandal // Earrings
My long green Lulu’s dress from last Christmas was one of my favorite holiday dresses. It was comfortable and easy to wear and it looked great with a belt or other accessories. This dress is a different style but still has that same deep emerald green that I fell in love with.
How I would style it:
Faux Fur Vest // Rose Gold Bootie // Triple Starburst Earring
Pointy Toe Pump // Calf Hair Belt // Gold Choker
The true holiday collections haven’t started hitting stores just yet but will in the next several weeks. Keep your eye out for the deals and I will update you when I see new things that grab my attention!
XO,
Tippy
